Even if Bush wins, he's still screwed
Plame Indictments: when Fitzgerald is ready, boom!

Full aftermath of his foreign and economic moves: any shit that hits the fan is all on Bush's head. No escape here.

Revival of the 60's: should the draft come...when more US fuckups happen, watch the people rally together against Bush and his corps.

Remember what happened to Nixon even though he won his 2nd term. He did not make it to the end.

10. Well, correct me if I'm wrong
but didn't Nixon eventually go down because even his own party had enough of him?

19. don't count out the Moderate Repubs
they've been bullied, threatened and marginalized for the past 4 years

will 4 more years of a bush* theocracy be enough for them to find a backbone? or will they cave in? again?

will any of them switch parties? Lincoln Chaffe, perhaps?

an editorial appeared a couple of weeks ago that predicted a "REVOLUTION" in Congress should bush* be re-selected (sorry can't find the link) -- how likely is that to happen?

3. you are wrong
look who is head of the CIA?

His own appointed man...

We must win this now or within four years they will have solidified control of the Judicial, Legislative, and Executive branches

There will be no seperation of powers

We are heading toward a corporate run government, who will control everything including the media

This is fascism. This will Not be the same country in four years

Remember who is head of the CIA now...

5. Who controlled congress when Nixon was in office?
I would bet it wasn't the Republicans but I'm not sure.

15. I have no idea, but it was Gerald Ford who paid.
He pardoned Nixon, in an attempt to heal this nation, and lost his bid for the presidency, as a result. I wasn't unhappy with the outcome, since Jimmy Carter is a hero of mine. But Gerald Ford's actions, unlike those of today, deserve to be admired.

6. In a sick and twisted way, this could be good.
He now has to suffer thru all his hideous mistakes, and this might kick start a new golden age of liberalism in this country.

One can only hope.

8. Nope
A Republican House and Senate, and they have subpoena power, not Democrats.

So you will have to depend on the American people to voice outrage that surpasses party affiliation.

You saw what the American people did today, so if you want to depend on their insights, good luck, if Bush wins, then he will have no scandal that he can not avoid.

11. Kerry has to prevail. As president, and as a former prosecutor,
he will be pressured and should indict the former Bush* administration of war crimes. Why else would they be so afraid and and insist on a preemptive win, with the results far from decided, except that they chose an illegal, preemptive war?

12. Forget Plame

with nothing at risk anymore, that investigation will get canned somehow and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

16. Wish I were so screwed as george w. bush...
Compliant congress. 4 supreme court appointments. Full control of swing-state voting apparatus. Backed unquestioningly by thousands of the richest people in the nation.

Oh, to be "screwed" like that.

17. Many of you give up too easily
Never underestimate the power of anger...especially collective anger. Right now, many are depressed, yes...but you just wait till down the road. Watch Bush's approval numbers plunge when things go very wrong. He may think that he does not have to answer to anyone...but Karma is a bitch and it bites hard.

18. People have been oppressed more and been in more "hopeless" situations
and still fucking won down the road.

Fall of USSR & its satellites
Fall of Berlin Wall
Fall of Apartheid

Bush and co. are not invincible, not even from the US citizens when their eyes are no longer wide shut!

should the draft be implemented, let's see how well the US citizenry takes to this and how much they will still love Bush.
