Dinosaur fossils, murder, mayhem, government intrique, Monks in the desert, a 65 million year old virus from the moon?, "the greatest scientific discovery of all time."

Interesting read showing the best and worst of humanity with the good guys winning out in the end (unless that thing in the petri dish is still alive.)

1. It will make a great movie.

I enjoyed reading it but I thought it flowed like a movie script, kinda like DaVinci Code did. I read "The Relic" by this author and it was similar.

The part describing the NSA's wiretapping activities was interesting. I wonder how close to true it was.

The ending did scream for a sequel.

2. I thought of a movie

when the bad guy in flames comes walking out of the helicopter. Yes, a sequel is definitely in order. Hard to imagine the writer making that stuff up about wiretapping. That was pretty detailed. He may be writing his next book from Gitmo.

3. I have read everything Preston (and Preston/Child) have written

I especially like P/C's FBI agent Pendergast character. Tyrannosaur Canyon is something of a sequel to "Codex", which was also pretty good. I am reading "The Book of the Dead" right now. Here is a site with all of the P/C books:

Tyrannosaur is my first book by that author and I found it more non-fiction then fiction. Very well done.
