Caramelo--a warm read for the winter chill
Edited on Sat Jan-13-07 07:30 PM by spindrifter
Sandra Cisneros's wonderful book, Caramelo, is as much comfort food for the reading mind as beans and rice is comfort food for the stomach. A delightful tale of three generations in motion between the U.S. and Mexico, there is great warmth in this set of interwoven stories. Truly a rebozo to wrap oneself in and to cherish.

1. Agreed. I own it, and am waiting until I forget enough of it to go back
and enjoy myself all over again.
