"World Without End" by Ken Follett
Wow...what an epic!

If you read "Pillars of the Earth" about building a cathedral you'll love this book. If you haven't read the first book it won't matter. This is an awesome story of life in the 1300s.

Has anyone else started it? I'm listening to the audio book and it has 36 CDs!

1. Wow.. I read Pillars of the Earth long ago...
You've just made me want to pick this one up! I love reading fiction, but have so little time (and so much work-related technical reading I have to keep up with) so I have to be very selective.

Thanks for posting the rec.

really want to read it, but the library won't let me renew it as many times as I'd need to finish it. I loved Pillars of the Earth.

7. I finished reading it last week.
I really liked it. Of course, I loved "Pillars," so I got this the first day it was released. Now I'm on a 14th centurty historical fiction kick. (I'm reading "Katherine," by Anya Seton now; for some reason I'd never gotten around to it.)

8. "Katherine" was a great read! I read it in high school.
She also wrote 'The Winthrop Woman', and others...I liked her books a lot.
