1. I love his 'Prey'
series. Is this something new he's doing? Is it a Kidd book?

7. No, not Kidd
It's main character is Virgil Flowers - works under Lucus Davenport. He's 3 times married and divorced, nice sense of humor and he sure likes sex.

The book for the most part was very good. Could have been maybe 30 pages shorter, but then I always feel that way at the end of a book. Can't wait to finish so's I can start another one. :)

9. His books are generally erie and very well written. Usually include mystery and scary subjects. But
this book is about scary government. An unknown agency works for the government and under no supervision. Very well written.

11. I think you will enjoy. Please let me know. Also try other books of his
He is an excellent writer and prolific. His books are creepy but well written, not as horrifying as Steven King.

12. Didn't Koontz also write...
I think he wrote a book I read last year, FROM THE CORNER OF HIS EYE, ?

It was about a really wicked serial killer and a kid (or 2) with some supernatural powers, can't recall exactly, but it was a very good book. Scary. .

15. Stopped reading his work when he started getting more like James Patterson.

Short, quick chapters, and within those there are multiple page breaks, even when not necessary. The guy is selling quite a bit of blank paper...

And now, with the book you mention, he's getting into collaborative fiction which is almost never as good as a single author telling a story.

Sandford is following the Patterson model.

I was getting kind of tired of his stuff anyway, especially the wasted words on clothing and driving directions. I guess he thinks that the former is "character development" and the latter is "setting."

Oh well.
