I've read 'Slaughterhouse Five' and just finished 'Breakfast of Champions'. That's it. That's all I've read.

BTW: 'BoC' - I was underwhelmed overall, but enjoyed it. Some very funny parts, and a lot of it rings true today, but I'm not sure it's held up very well since the 1970s stylistically.

It is a collection of essays, snips for Public Radio. A lot of Vonnegut wit.

My favorite Vonnegut was Slaughterhouse-5.

Bluebeard was pretty good, but not impressive like SH-5.

15. "Mother Night" should be high on your list

It's a fascinating story about an American who becomes a successful propagandist and playwright in Nazi Germany but thinks of himself as a political agnostic. He and his German wife consider themselves "a nation of two," above the fray. The basic message is, "Be careful what you pretend to be." A subtext is "There's really no such thing as a political agnostic."

Check out "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater," too, about a bleeding-heart philanthropist who seems crazy to many people. MN and Rosewater are both philosophical books, and among Vonnegut's best, in my opinion.

I also like KV's collection of essays etc. called "Wampeters, Foma and Granfalloons."

Actually, as you might guess from my avatar, I've enjoyed a great deal of Vonnegut's writing, and I'm really sorry he's no longer among the living. I once had the great thrill of seeing him speak. He was an old man, hobbling from an injury suffered while playing stickball with a kid in his NYC neighborhood a few days earlier.

You have many great adventures ahead as you read his books and stories - I look forward to reading your thoughts about them.
