Reading Middlesex now by Jeffery Eugenides

I'm 150 pages into it, and am enthralled.

Anyone else read it? opinions?

1. I read it a while back--

I liked the parts set in the inner city of Detroit, as I grew up there. My family had a restaurant in the general area Eugenides describes.

3. I didn't like the premise. I hate it when novels go incestuous. But I stuck

with it and liked it in the end.

7. I really liked that book...

It was unusual and I enjoyed the inside look at how Greeks view the world.

I recommended that book to several of my friends.

in my kind-of-recent reading history . . .


along with "The Confessions of Max Tivoli". Two books that were hard to put down. I'm sure you'll enjoy this adventure.
