The Servants of Pilate.com
The story of a homeless man who forgoes his own suicide to confront the President of the United States. Someone should. What could be wrong with just asking? Will he find the real answer after all his efforts? Is there a higher power controlling all that happens, or does it all just depend on what you might decide to do? Will you get in line?
Mr. Cox is a well-known essayist with a wide following on Democratic Underground, Op-Ed News and is a featured author on the Progressive Independent news site. His articles have headlined at Information Clearinghouse. His fiction has been featured in New York’s Rancor'd Type literary magazine and in Freight Train Magazine. He is a 2006 winner of a Chicago Style Citation.
He has been called a poor man’s Noam Chomsky, his words heavy with street-level wisdom, a wisdom learned through a street-level life. Born into an upper, middle-class background, his family disintegrated with his mother's sudden death when he was fifteen and by age seventeen he was homeless. Working menial, dead-end jobs he sang and played guitar in bar rooms across the South, finally winning an honorable mention in Warner Brothers “American Song Festival” and an appearance on Star Search.
An automobile accident ended his musical career and Mr. Cox began again in the auto parts business. In three years he went from delivery driver to manager before founding two businesses of his own.
Mr. Cox makes his home in Powder Springs Georgia with his wife Patty.
