What ever happened to H.G. Wells’ Time Traveller?

I know of a short story, “The Hertford Manuscript” which deals with this subject.

Anyone else know of any stories/novellas/novels that deal with this?

The Hertford Manuscript is a 10,000-word story by Richard Cowper, a sequel to H. G. Wells' novel The Time Machine, recounting how, after the events of the novel, the Time Traveler went to 17th century England. It was first published in the October, 1976 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction.

2. The Time Ships

The Time Ships is a 1995 science fiction novel by Stephen Baxter. A sequel to The Time Machine by H. G. Wells, it was officially authorized by the Wells estate to mark the centenary of the original's publication. It won the John W. Campbell Memorial Award and the Philip K. Dick Award in 1996. It was also nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Novel in that same year.

3. The Time Machine II

By George Pal and Joe Morhalm. I read it about 20 years ago, not very good. Very concise description of the plot below.

It is more of a continuation from the original George Pal movie version of 'The Time Machine' than from the novel but it makes for a good read.

At the start, the time traveller George and his pregnant wife Weena from 802,701 AD travel back in time from that year with the intention of having their child born in 1900, the time period George left behind. The time machine unexpectedly stops in 1941 through a malfunction and both people get killed by bomb blasts. Their child is born and survives the war. The adult version of the new born baby arrives in a more modern version of the time machine and helplessly witnesses the death of his parents. He later sees the earlier versions of them in 802,701 AD with the hope of talking them out of returning to 1941. He then travels to a time period over a million years away from ours and helps the last lot of humans on earth to battle against giant mutant creatures in order to ensure their survival.
