Looking for a good Machines Vs Humans book
Terminator 4 has put me in the mood. I've read the Brian Herbert prequel to Dune series, that was pretty good. Does anybody know of any good sci-fi "humans vs machines/computers" novels?

1. I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream
It's a short story. But it's one of the best.

Harlan Ellison wrote it. It's easy to find in anthologies and in Ellison collections.

5. Ellison can make me weep and laugh in the same story, all while scaring the crap out of me
He's a brilliant writer. I hear he's a total dickweed as a human being, but I love his writing.

9. If you tell him that you love his writing, he'll attack you
But if you tell him that he's a total dickweed, he'll probably agree with you!

He's got a unique place in the canon, that's for sure!

11. Thanks for the link!
But I hate the layout of the page! That two-color background is super-annoying.

Thank goodness for copy-and-paste...

7. I just got a copy of "Berserker Prime" real cheap.
I haven't read anything in the Berserker series, but I always thought it sounded interesting.

By the way, have you read the last two books of Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson's: Hunters of Dune and Sandworms of Dune. I was only marginally impressed with their prequel stuff, but what they do with the human/machine duality in these two books is rather interesting.

12. You could check out PKD's short story Autofac from 1955
And the Wiki link also mentions Pohl's The Waging of Peace, which I haven't read.
