Question about Rita Mae Brown's Mrs. Murphy books...

In the first one, "Harry" has recently divorced Fair Harristeen. But why? It was never clear to me what the problem was. Unless it was just the lack of excitement there.

Anybody know?

3. She thought
He cheated on her with one of the other characters, her arch rival... but I can't remember her name. That character now lives with another woman and they are all friends I think.
