2. OK, I wanted a really good book for my first NookBook..........
I have noticed that you seem to enjoy many of the same authors that I do. So now I take your recommends very serious. I am now thinking about Jon Loomis's "High Season". How does that one rate? I know he is a DUer and I intend to get both of his books at some point anyway. I'm trying to find a good book or a good series that I have not already started. I intend to keep all the hard copy books I already have (I read them over and over again)so I want different stuff for the Nook.

So what say you to Jon loomis?

Just finished MATING SEASON, Jon Loomis
(also known as smoogatz)

Jon,
I loved this book. I like the characters but have to read HIGH SEASON again because I've forgotten some about Coffin's father and his death, and Coffin's divorce, etc. I remember the obscene parrot and hope to see more of the bar in your next book.

Lots of humor, some subtle (driver's name, "Lennie," like what else could it be?, and Branstool, boss of nursing home, great name).

I don't know what some of the sex toys (tildes, strap ons) are used for, and at 71, it's too late to, well, never mind. Very good dialog and plot.

In the 3rd book in the series, I'd like more Mom and wouldn't mind seeing Lennie and Zoran again. Jaime, well, Coffin is looking around a bit too much, so, oh well. Lola's great.

I also liked the size of the pages, the paper quality, the print, and the spacing, with no blank pages to "fill" the book up. Very easy reading. My compliments to whoever picked out that stuff.

Now get busy and work on 3rd, I ain't got that much time left. Also, you take a mighty wicked picture. You must drive your wife crazy.
