6. I started reading Keef's book this week, too.
I didn't know (or I forgot) that he went to art school. I'm still in the 3rd chapter - the one about his teen years.

I ordered some others last week that I'm looking forward to - including Mark Rudd's UNDERGROUND: My Life with SDS and the Weathermen -from this discount bookseller that always has some good deals and cheap shipping ($3.50 per order regardless of # of books/DVDs/CD's).

3. Yes, I'm home listening to Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker."
Earlier this evening I finished Thoreau's A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers, part of a four volume Thoreau set I found in a used book store for twenty bucks. Best twenty dollars I ever spent. This afternoon, I picked up a copy of Chomsky's Hegemony Or Survival: America's Quest For Global Dominance. I've just started that one. At this point, I doubt it will surprise me much, but it will surely inform and serve to confirm much of what I've suspected for some time now.

Happy New Year and Happy Reading to you as well!

7. Got loads of them on my new Nook
Right now, I'm reading "Main Street" by Sinclair Lewis. I also have a collection of Mark Twain books loaded up on it, as well as Grimm's Fairy Tales & the Andrew Lang series of fairy tales (which I remember reading as a kid)
