I'm in book 2, "Choice of the Cat". Still not sure whether or not I like the series.

But I've feeling lazy tonight so I'll ask instead... what's it about? Did you like book 1?

I won't even try to explain the basic premise, you might try Wikipedia for that. The actual writing is pretty engaging. I finished the second book, and will look for the next one this coming weekend.
