A friend of mine gave me a copy of a little book, published in the UK, called "Travels Through Love and Time". It is a novella in three parts. I thought it was going to be one of those lesbian romance books, the kind one would pick up at a gay railway station. Instead, I found original literary writing, a little on the edge of controversy, written like a memoir with a great sense of place, and it really moved me. The author's name is Christine Hall Volkoff. Never heard of her, but the book is available on Amazon, and on Kindle as well. There is a young adult story in it as well, that my friend thought was a little over the edge. I did not think so. It is a great book for women, though my best friend who is a straight man loved the book as well. It has an interesting philosophy, it is cheap, reads easily, and I could not put it down! I love discovering unknown books like that...
