Am 72, Female - how about you?
I'm 72-1/2, female, enjoy cooking, gardening and reading. How about you?

I'm always curious about you guys...but if you feel it's none of my business, just say so. I will not be offended.

4. I am 70 , female
I have three cats , my old gal Tansy and my two year old brat maine coon mix kittys Lilith and Cat- Mandu

I read everything I didn't have time for when my kids were small.I collect book marks and other useless junk.

My soil is way to poor for productive gardening but I dabble in it any way. I live alone so I don't do much cooking, but I still can and freeze food like I expect a famine

6. Hi! I'm 61, female, enjoy reading, animals, growing things
and cooking. My goal is to become a crazy cat lady. I've got the crazy part down, but don't yet have enough cats. Right now, I only have 3 cats and one dog.

7. In my vicarious lives I'm
in my early 30s. In- um - real life I'm 70- plus. I like to read (and write), cutting down on the cooking and never did much with gardening but have other enthusiasms. I read science fiction, cozy mysteries, a wide range of general fiction, and an occasional romance. Also non-fiction, but that's mostly as research for my freelance projects. Mostly I'm a dog person -- have a Yorkiepoo-- but recently added a little black kitty to the household. Only, she doesn't know she's supposed to be my cat; the people she's imprinted on are my 7- and 10-year-old granddaughters.

8. Female, age 62.
I read and read and read and there's still not enough time to read everything I want. I keep on hoping that there is not only continued consciousness when our bodies die, but that there are libraries there.

I also love to crochet and embroider, and sit in my back yard with a glass of wine.

9. Wow, we're all older
Does this mean that the younger generation doesn't read?

I'm 60, love mysteries (especially British and Scandinavian, don't much like cozies), some historical fiction, and non-fiction. I also sing in a cathedral choir, listen to classical and world music, take water aerobics and other forms of exercise (lots of walking when there's no ice on the sidewalks), and love intelligent movies and TV shows. (That's why I don't have cable.)

10. I'm 45, male
I'm the youngest! I rule!:bounce:

Pretty much my whole life has been dedicated to reading and writing. Much more of the former than the latter. I'm just too busy reading to have much time for writing.

11. I'm in my early 50's.
I've always loved to read for as long as I can remember. I love knowledge for knowledge's sake. I cook and bake; my husband does most of the gardening and caring for the chickens these days. I work full-time still, and in the evenings/weekends I design and make jewelry, which is why I don't have much time to read anymore except when I go to bed.

:hi:

13. Female, mid fifties, reading and quilting
Loved to read growing up. I never read any fiction when my kids lived at home. Not enough hours in the day. Now that that period of my life has passed, I read purely for entertainment. Nothing educational!

14. 33, Male
I enjoy reading paperback (fiction) crime thrillers, like works by John Lutz, Lisa Gardner, and law and political thrillers, like works by John Grisham and David Baldacci.

I am into sports (watching and playing), working out, dancing, a good meal and drink, watching movies, hanging with friends and family, listening to music, a good laugh.

16. I'm a 64 yr .young married female. Mother of 4 grown girls and...
grandmother of 5 wonderful children.

I enjoy reading and working on my own family genealogy.

I love a mystery so I read a lot of mysteries. I especially like ones written in a series, so that I can get to know the characters and the places where they live.

I guess that's why I also enjoy genealogy. There is always a mystery to be solved and it is very exciting every time I breakthrough a brick wall!

25. Had to think of you..
while reading my book, Snake Dreams (which has nothing to do with snakes btw, except that at the beginning, a snake witnessed a murder)...

Young Sarah was trying not to laugh when elder Ute Daisy was giving her a discourse on something, so she figured she would think of something scary to keep from smiling and keep a serious face..

"..by imagining a boodred centipede creeping into my bed tonight, slithering along my neck, up my chin, across my mouth, and into my nose. Not scary enough. Sarah could see the invader, and it was a cute cartoon centipede--wearing a black derby and fifty pairs of tiny yellow shoes."

Doss is a very silly writer, but the books have a scary element as well...

24. I just turned 51.
Female.

I don't get to enjoy much these days; I work more than anything else.

But I used to love gardening, always love reading, used to enjoy hiking, camping, riding my horses. I would enjoy traveling if I could afford it.

I've never liked cooking, but when I had time, I used to enjoy making my own creams and ointments.
