29. Who was Melissa, Jitterbug?
At first I thought it was one of your 3 cats, but going through looking for something else, I noticed that none of your cats were named Melissa, and I remembered this post.

Who was she, Dear One, and I'm sorry for your loss, no matter who she was...

31. You have been on my mind so much...
It wasn't an accident seeing your cat's names, I looked it up to make sure it wasn't a cat. I wish it were.

I love you Jitterbug, you're lots of fun, and a bit goofy.

I lost one years ago, but he was just 16 months old. Never got over it, and it took years before I could talk about it, or listen to the songs that were popular at that time, etc.

For years you will be reminded of her in the politics, books, music, etc., and when all changes, life will be easier. Keep reading, and feed the birds if you're able, and if the cats will let you...

You poor darling. Wish I could give you a big hug, sit down and listen while you cry. Nobody knows how much you need to talk and cry.

I think there's a God, and hope he/she watches over you..

as we grow older we suffer loss more and more often . I lost a son , my Jeremy,in 1988 , he was one month away from being 17
and I still cry at
Jeremiah was a bull frog by Three Dog Night because that is where I got his name . His dad would not agree to calling him Jeremiah so we compromised.

I am so sorry about your little boy . I know that you will love him forever. We are left to carry on no matter how much it hurts and I know that our children would never want us to give into grief at least I know my sweet Melissa doesn't

I love you too Rose, and you are right I AM a bit goofy ( some people think it is more than just a bit) LOL

much has been taken , but there is a lot left .

21. I have a print of petunias in my living room.
I started reading the book for a planned trip to the museum this month. Had to cancel the trip (for now - still hoping to get there later this year) but still enjoyed the book. I have about a dozen other books about her on my shelves so I'll try to read a couple more before I rebook my flight.

24. Just finished my purse book, Martin Limon's "G.I. Bones"
and have an iPod Kindle book, "Where's Billie?" started. I bought it because the author lives in my neighborhood, and it's a mystery about a missing teen.

My bedside book is Typhoon, an espionage thriller that takes place in Hong Kong just before the British hand it back to China.
