Thought you might like the update. That seems like we have a really good chance at keeping our fiction group over there.

But it would be wise to not take it for granted. It would be great if everyone who enjoys this group went over there and subscribed. Why take a chance? Lets show Skinner how much we love our fiction forum! Go subscribe now if you haven't already.

1. make that 73... I don't have much time to read fiction...

as professional medical journals take up most of my time and I've long had a real love for biography and history. But, there is nothing more relaxing than spending a rainy day absorbed in fiction, so I look forward to perusing your little forum for suggestions....;)

Does it ask for everyone's logon info when subscribing? I'm not sure I even remember it. LOL

3. Yes you need to sign into the new DU3 in order to subscribe BUT..

read Skinner's post. He tells you how to sign in and gives you links to get your password etc. Please consider doing it so we have enough people subscribed to keep the fiction group.

I actually found many groups over at DU3 that I didn't even know existed here at DU2. I ended up subscribing to 16 groups over there. I think those groups will add to my enjoyment of DU.

When I read that we needed to subscribe to keep the topics we want, i went straight over and did just that.

I can't believe I subscribed to 16 of them, lol. I probably won't post much in some of them but I like having them organized in the "my subscriptions tab" for easy perusal.

6. I mainly subscribed to what I already subscribe to here.

I'm rather befuddled about the switchover and I have to say that I found the new format to be unwieldy and confusing. The current one is REALLY easy because at the top of my page I have the list of my forums and I just check in with them every time I come to DU. As well as scroll through the latest.

I'm not always good with change.

8. WOOT! We have 85 people subscribed on DU3 this Sunday morning...

I think we are pretty safe. We seem to have more subscribers than most groups with the exception of Cooking & Baking which now stands at 124 subscribers (I subscribed to Cooking & Baking. I've lurked there for years, never participate, it has tons of good recipes and such).
