1. I know what I'll be reading on July 12, 2011 - A Dance With Dragons
And if someone doesn't slap me the next time I pick up an epic fantasy novel before it is complete, I'll be very upset. Seems like every single time I get into a set of a books, by the time last book comes out, I am at least one decade closer to retirement.

2. Since you asked I have to say that I am reading nothing.
I used to love to read but now if I read a book or two a year that's a lot.

4. TO SPEAK FOR THE DEAD by Paul Levine
- just started it. The title comes from having someone speak for the dead, namely, the coroner who does an autopsy...the book is about character, Jake Lassiter, atty., in Miami.

book 51

A big fat "R"

16. Finished...
Some interesting characters (Granny, Prosecutor, Secretary & Coroner) may help this series become popular - crimes in this book are kinda complicated - hard to detect drugs....

Lassiter is likable...

9. No time, no books, (until I get moved) just the "Nation" in snatches - I've...
... learned how awful it really is in Greece, and that the AG of NY State is really investigating the banksters, information I hadn't discerned from TV or newpapers. Highly recommend that magazine.

I like Mankell, but the end of this one didn't work for me.

19. A SUITABLE VENGEANCE by Elizabeth George
Just into page 50 or so, and like the book so far. This lady can write..

This is the 4th in the Earl Thomas Lynley, Scotland Yard, series. Didn't think when I started the series that I'd be able to stand a book about English royalty, but George has me hooked.
