GREETINGS FROM ST. LOUIS
We've had a wonderful time here in St. Louis at the Bouchercon World Mystery Convention.
We usually divided our forces to catch as many author panels as we could. Six hour-long panels a day for the first three days, with a few special events thrown in, and before you know it, we've got about 100 authors under our belt. If only we could remember all the brilliant things they said! But the most amazing thing is the sense of community and commonality that infuses this convention, where it becomes routine to bump into a number of famous and favorite authors before lunch as well as fellow mystery readers from across the country. We were thrilled to meet so many fans of our website: librarians, bookstore owners, and readers from all over.
On to business: Several sets of awards are presented at Bouchercon, which inspires us to send out this special edition of the SYKM Newsletter to congratulate the winners as well as all the short-listed nominees.
We hope to also be able to attend next year's Bouchercon:
Crime Fiction Rocks! in Cleveland, Ohio, October 4-7, 2012.
http://bouchercon2012.com/And we are looking forward to Left Coast Crime 2012 "Mining for Murder" in Sacramento, California, March 29-April 1, 2012.
