My new(ish) book: "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Columbine."
Despite the abject failure of my first self-publishing experiment, I finally took the plunge and self-published by 2005 novel through Amazon for the Kindle.

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Columbine" is the story of four friends who plan to fake a Columbine-style school shooting to gain revenge against a series of bullies, and all of the obstacles that they overcome as they attempt to carry their elaborate plan to fruition. It's a dark comedy that's even more relevant in this time of Jamey Rodemeyer and Tyler Clemente than it was when I wrote it six years ago.

1. Hope it works out. You've got at least one sale... :)
I'll try to remember to review it when I finish. Thanks!

2. Enjoyable read
Well worth the price of admission, I'd say.

Perhaps the pace was slowed down by one too many adventures on the way to the big adventure, but the writing was great and I appreciated the twist at the end. It was also nice to read a self-published book that was as well edited as one from a major publisher.

I'd recommend it.

3. Thank you.
This one's been in the works for almost six years; I finished the first draft in December of 2005. I put it through two rewrites based on comments from others, and it got repped by an agent who gave me notes for a third rewrite. And I did one more polish before releasing it, which is why it felt so well-edited to you, I guess.

The agent unsuccessfully shopped it for a year and a half before she and I parted ways. I finally got sick of having a book that was poison all around (no agent wants to take on a book another agent shopped before, and it got rejected by so many major publishers that some small presses didn't want to touch it) so I put it out myself.
