Who else is not-so-patiently waiting on A Feast for Crows?

1. Oooh! Memememe!
I just finished a reread of ASOS. Though the storyline-splitting will make it a little different from past volumes, I'm still counting the days.

Hurry up, November.

4. I've only read "Fevre Dream"
It's about vampires. Nice vampires who never scared me a bit. Good people in fact. You might consider giving it a loan from the library. He's science fiction and fantasy.

He also wrote the tv show abobut the people and creatures who lived down in the subways - Beauty and the Beast.

10. read the first three books before you try to read this new one
or you will be hopelessly lost. Three very large books, with some of the most amazing characters; Martin can get you interested in a very minor character in no time flat. Of course said minor character may become extremely important later, so don't ignore anyone.

A Game of Thrones is the first one
A Clash of Kings 2
A Storm of Swords 3

I plan to re read the others before this one comes out. I need to finish "Fool's Fate", then read "Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince", and then I can re read the Martins before A Feast For Crows is released.

Somewhere in there I will read the 11th Jordan novel, whenever it is released, but I will not be breaking my neck to read it. I just know that I will read it.

5. Sounds good...
My money says Walder Frey and Roose Bolton get what they deserve.

14. That's interesting...
I didn't mention Theon because I figured it was pretty obvious.

After all, Ramsay Bolton's slowly flaying him, and his family isn't real likely to come rescue him...

What makes you say Barristan Selmy, though? I'd like to hear your reasoning on that.

6. I can't BELIEVE they pushed it back again!
Was G.M. just not ready with it yet, or is it some lame-ass publisher's attempt to cash in on a perceived Christmas market?

9. when I first heard it was due for release, November was the date
so if there was an earlier release date I didn't know. Of course the rumours have abounded since oh 2004 that the release was emminent.

Ijust hope it isn't 5 years until the Dragon one comes out.

8. oh boy I can't wait for this book. I am so excited...Harry Potter
was nothin' compared to the wait for this volume.

He is so good.

If anyone needs something to tide them over, I strongly suggest Robin Hobb, and her 9 volume triple triology.
Assassin's Apprentice
Royal Assassin
Assassin's Quest

Ship of Magic
Mad Ship
Ship of Destiny

Fool's Errand
Golden Fool
Fool's Fate

Read in the above listed order, if you know what's good for you.

Martin himself recommends these books.
