Which is better: The Notebook or Message in a Bottle
Both of them "touched me," and I just can't decide. Looking for your input.

1. I liked the Notebook - much better. Cause it was so about first time
love turning into real love very early. Don't remember much about Message in a Bottle.

2. Gah! Can I vote neither?
I found "The Notebook" (what I read of it) to be terribly maudlin, and I assumed the followup would be more of the same.

I ain't much on, you know, feelin's 'n' such

3. simply my humble opinion, but
'message in a bottle' was overdramatic, predictable tripe and 'the notebook' was a lot more poignant, but with a contrived ending.

4. The ending of the notebook
totally ruined what was otherwise a mildly pleasant read. At least the story line, up to then, was compelling. I'm no fan of Spark's writing but I enjoyed the story line. He threw it away with a twist that I found horrific on many levels.

6. easier question
how many books have been done justice. I read the notebook and saw it, too. Yes, as a matter of fact, I AM a masochist :D. If you think the end of the movie sucked....
