Just so you all know: Michael Connelly's "Lincoln Lawyer" kicks ass
Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 11:01 AM by Richardo
What a great read that was. I like most of the Connelly I've read so far, but this is the perfect blend of detective and courtroom novel.

Highly recommended!

2. Thanks for the recommendation.
I'm going to pick it up.

As a sidenote, my friend used to work with him at the LA Times. He was there when she first started and she speaks very highly of him. He was really kind to her when she was an intern. I always like to hear nice things about people. :)

6. So many authors, so little time. Try James Lee Burke
if you haven't. Excellent, especially when Dave Robicheaux is the protagonist. Set in Louisiana, I love them!

13. You'll like.
I've liked Doctorow ever since "Ragtime". An amazingly talented writer who can make the words on the page sing.

9. Lincoln Lawyer
Lincoln Lawyer is one of the 10 books or so I got for Xmas. I've read everything else by Connelly, so I'm looking forward to reading it next. If you like Connelly, read George Pelacanos or Dennis Lehane. Probably the best 3 writers going in the mystery/suspense/crime genre.

15. connelly, sanford, lehane, vachss
great time wasters (i say that in the best way). connelly is probably the best writer, lehane probably writes the best characters, sandford's lead character is probably the overall coolest guy, and vachss is the grittiest.

i absolutely love these books

lincoln lawyer is nice, because you dont need to know any prior novels

we should talk about these on an individual level, that would be fun

(Just picked it up in paperback a few days ago)

And I have to agree with Richardo here - this is an awesome book, probably Connelly's best yet, and I'm a huge fan of his.:thumbsup:
