Once again, the Nazi slut writes for kids. Geez...!
From an email I didn't want but here's a snip and DU is mentioned:
"...and the Democratic Underground named you to their "Top 10 Conservative Idiots" list. Did all of these liberal attacks get to you, or in any way upset your family? "
- - - - - - - - - Don't get angry because the 2006 Academy Awards are the most anti-family Oscars ever, says best-selling children's author Katharine DeBrecht. Instead, parents should teach kids to laugh at Hollywood and not take left-wing celebrities seriously. DeBrecht's highly anticipated "Help! Mom! Hollywood's in My Hamper!" lampoons stars like Streisand, Madonna, & Cruise and hits stores the week following the Oscars.
With Academy Award nominations for best picture going to movies that make terrorists look sympathetic, glorify communist sympathizers, and tell of the romances of homosexual cowboys, Hollywood has declared an outright war on traditional values. It's understandable that a concerned parent might respond with anger or outrage, but a bestselling children's author suggests another option.
Instead, teach your kids to laugh at Hollywood. Laugh with Hollywood? NO! Laught AT Hollywood! This according to bestselling children's author Katharine DeBrecht, author of the highly anticipated upcoming illustrated book Help! Mom! Hollywood’s in My Hamper!
On Sunday, the best picture Oscar is guaranteed to be handed out to a left-wing movie, observes DeBrecht, since all of the nominated films are outright liberal productions. "Brokeback Mountain," "Capote," "Crash," "Good Night, and Good Luck," and "Munich" all advocate an anti-family and anti-values liberal agenda, a point which DeBrecht says proves that Hollywood does not respect the values of mainstream America.
"The liberal elites running Hollywood have not intention of respecting families, much less ceasing their relentless attack on traditional values," claims DeBrecht, a mother of three. "It's almost impossible for parents to block out all of the left-wing messages that Hollywood and its friends in the media are bombarding our children with. The solution is for parents to teach their children to laugh at Hollywood and to regard celebrities as silly people."
“Know-it-all liberal celebrities are in our faces every day, telling people how to live, what to buy, and often how to vote,” says DeBrecht. “Children need to understand that just because these people show up on television doesn’t mean they know what’s best for the rest of America. In fact, it’s usually quite the opposite!
“Oddly enough, I didn’t get my invitation to the Academy Awards this year,” laughs DeBrecht, whose book also features cameos by several conservative icons, including Rush Limbaugh. “But if Hollywood insists on handing out Oscars to movies about gay cowboys, sympathetic terrorists, and communist apologizers, then I guess my time is better served in writing books that stand up for traditional values.”
