Anybody know of a source where I can find books like
a certain author/series/book I enjoy? For instance I enjoy Faith Fairchild mysteries; who else writes mysteries similar to these?

1. Have you read any of the "book lists" on Amazon.com?
Sometimes, if you go to a book you like there will be an associated list created by other people who like that genre/style.

3. Yes,
amazon will "analyze" your interests and smother you with recommendations for books similar to the ones you like. Their book lists are interesting.

5. I've used Amazon as others have suggested
It's a great resource as I've found a good number of new authors that I like.

6. Try a library site,
it gives advice on what to read according to what you liked:

7. Here's another interesting source..
http://www.literature-map.com/

If you type an author's name into the box, it gives you a map of sorts of related authors. This is how they describe the site:

"Gnod is my experiment in the field of artificial intelligence. Its a self-adapting system, living on this server and 'talking' to everyone who comes along. Gnods intention is to learn about the outer world and to learn 'understanding' its visitors. This enables gnod to share all its wisdom with you in an intuitive and efficient way. You might call it a search-engine to find things you don't know about.

Gnooks - Welcome to the World of Literature!
Gnooks is a self-adapting community system based on the gnod engine. Discover new writers you will like, travel the map. of literature and discuss your favorite books and authors."

Katherine Hall Page's link is:http://www.literature-map.com/katherine+hall+page.html

I am not familiar with her books so I don't know how close the comparisons are. I did check Jeffrey Deaver, an author I like a great deal, and found that I read the majority of the authors linked closely to him, FWIW! You can click on another author who appears on the map to recenter it around that writer.
