I think its time for me to reread "The Count of Monte Cristo".......
Its been 30 years since I read it, and its a favorite so maybe, at last, its finally time. Anyone else here share my love for Dumas and this brilliantly crafted tale of the ultimate revenge?

2. I visited the Chateau d'If some years ago
and the cell of Abbé Faria. If Edmond Dantés is fictitious, Abbe Faria did exist and was jailed there.

3. Guess I will re-read it. You make it sound good.
I find I usually go back to these old novels as you are sure to read a good book. No guess it is just good.

5. Loved this book.
The movies are not so good. I don't think the book translates well.

6. It's a wonderful book
I haven't read it in more than 20 years, and now you've got me thinking about re-reading it as well. A perfect autumn book, I think.

7. Yep I love it.
One of my favorites. It's on the 5 year re-read roster with Lord of the Rings and Catch-22.
