Any Tess Gerritsen fans out there?
I recently read "The Surgeon" and "The Apprentice." Rather gory, but well defined bad guys and heroes with all the human flaws. Nice plot pacing. Maybe not necessarily for the squeamish; lots of uses for scalpels by the bad guy(s).

1. I just read my first Gerritsen novel and liked it a lot.
I'm spacing on the title, however.

2. I ADORE the way she writes!
Ive read quite a few of hers, and Im constantly fascinated by her ability to get extremely graphic and gory, in a way that I dont think I've seen from other authors.
Ya know, in that car crash kind of way. You simply cant make yourself look away.

'The Surgeon' was the first one of hers I ever read and I was hooked, so I ran to get 'The Apprentice' the minute it was available. I loved them both.

I also really enjoyed 'Life Support'. Very different from 'The Surgeon and The Apprentice', but a really interesting story angle.

Im about midway through 'The Sinner', and while it has that Gerritsen stamp of making you not want to look away, it hasnt been one of my favorites.

I read 'Body Double' when it first came out in paperback, but for the life of me, I cant remember it, so I cant really say much.

Just about to start 'Bloodstream' and very much looking forward to it.

6. She knows her stuff
because she started out as an M.D. She wrote a few romances & then settled into her niche quite nicely.
