Paul Boller and Richard Shenkman
Has anyone at DU read any books by either Paul boller or Richard Shenkman? I was and still am considering reading the books they have done on history. However, I do not want to read books about history that try to promote the Republican view of history. I know in Boller's book "Not So" he has a chapter that seems as if it is going to be sympathetic to Senator McCarthy and his communism hunt/red scare. I just read the first sentence of the chapter and Boller claims that even though McCarthy's tactics were a bit harsh he did find some communist in the government. So, are the books by these authors good reads?
