I just finished reading "Confesions of an Economic Hit Man" and I need another book!!!
Suggestions are now needed, what should I read next???

8. My favorite book about all this mess...
still is Chalmers Johnson's "The Sorrows of Empire". Lately I've been stuck in the 80's with Reagan...Iran/Contra and the BCCI...and just got Gary Webb's "Dark Alliance", and "A Full Service Bank"...if you're into CIA stuff they've compiled a reading list at this site...

The Sword of Lincoln - a good overview on the Army of the Potomac
Nothing but Victory - a very good read on the Army of the Tennessee
Glory Enough for All - a pretty good account of the seige of Petersburg

23. The Clash of Civilizations, by Samuel Huntington.
The book is around ten years old, but it's still a very good book on the post-Cold War world. Huntington chastises the western universalism (treating western values such as democracy, religious pluralism, and freedom of expression as universal human values) That leads to the "spreading freedom and democracy" wild goose chase. He beleives that the West is entering it's "universal state" phase and that most of the conflicts and problems western countries will participate in will be with countries or populations of other civilizations.
