The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark, by Carl Sagan (1996). Just re-read it, and the last 2 chapters (in fact, all of it) were spot-on for the current times! Inspired me to take a trek down to T. Jefferson's house this weekend, for some Constitutional refreshment...
