4. The subject matter is a romp through the

metaphysical teachings of an entity called Seth.

In the 1950's through the 1980's Seth was channelled by a woman named Jane ROberts.

Twelve millions books were sold across the globe.

Seth is considered by some to be the father of the new age - one of his teachings is
that our "reality" is actually what we have dreamed up.

Now because we are so deeply embedded inside whatever culture we are born into, it doesn't seem as if that is so. Whatever/whoever controls the discourse of a given society, also controls the
behavior of the populace.

SO if you were born in Europe during medieval times, there would be a great deal of pressure on you
to conform to Catholic Church teachings (unless of course you were born at a time when the Catholic Church was just moving into your area - then you might not even be given the choice of conforming - you might simply be burned at the stake.)

Currently, in our society, science and "scientific teachings" prevail. And big corporations
reoly on us having surrendered our lives to the power of science - so it is that the Big Pharmaceuticals and the big chemical producers are now attempting to control us through the media and advertising, and through paying for the ownership of University Labs. The heretics among us who bother to examine much of what these corporations want from us are labelled heretics and although no longer are heretics burned at the stake, their reputations are shattered.

Anyway, Seth is a good deal of fun.The first book discusses what occurs to a soul after the physical death of the body - and how we might deal with our anger issues, and how a person can lead a good life inside a chaotic world.

My favorite section is in the first book and deals with Atlantis. I also like the discussions of the Home Dimension.

that is a joy for anyone who likes to occassionally translate something.
I have the German version - translates things English to German or vice a versa.
