"Brother in Arms" Is a Great Read
If there is anyone who is interested in any way in military history or just likes reading about military groups I think you will like reading "Brother in Arms: The Epic Story of the 761st Tank Battalion, WWII's Forgetten Heroes". As the title states the book is about the 761st, which was an all black tank battalion that fought under General George Patton during the second world war. The book was written by basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Anthony Walton. It recounts the story of the men who composed the group by telling how and why they joined the Army and how they became member of the tank battalion. The struggles they faced in dealing with segregation are told along explaining there training and action in Europe. It even mentions Jackie Robinson's time as a member of the 761st. In my opinion the reading is fast, easy, and interesting.
