History books for dummies?

Suprisingly I picked up a copy of european history for dummies and I actually read it through not simply for education but rather for...Enjoyment?

I would actually recommend dhistory books for dummies for entertainment and casual reading. Although not as in-depth as most specialised books. It gives you great base knowledge and interesting facts.

2. well, i discovered old old encyclopedia britannicas

are quite interesting if you delete priests and such. tho some of those worthy. fun reading popes. ANTI-popes. i expect a masters of history in the mail when i finish. up to egypt in my 1891 set.

7. I don't believe that I am going to admit this, but ..........

I picked up a few of Barnes&Noble portable professors to listen to while working and was amazed at how much I learned. If you're able to listen to audio at work, you can cover a full course in about a day to a day and a half.

8. I've always loved history and can weigh in fairly deep. I realize that I'm an anomaly.

If it takes entertainment to get people to pay any attention at all to history, I'm for it, as long as it's accurate.
