I recommend for those of you interested in political change and activism in the new administration this book: http://thinkingbigthebook.com/. It's informed so many of my conversations in the past week and helped me to alert people that things have changed in the US and we need new ideas to face the new times. Here's my advice, from studying the triumph of democracy and good, leftist (majorityist) government in South America:

1. Transparent vote counting. (U.S. voters, take note!)

2. Grass roots organization.

3. Think big!

(Don't just think that we can properly tax and regulated Exxon Mobil. Understand that we have the right--as the sovereign rulers of this land--to pull their charter to do business in the USA, and seize their assets for the common good, if we decide that that is in our best interest.)

Your welcome! Let me know what you think of it, I'm dying to talk about Thinking Big. Speaking of which - your ideas are in the book, in the essay called "Capturing Democracy's Surge" it talks about how to restore the people's relationship with the government so that we can once again appoint them as our leaders and representatives in our hearts and minds. Not only transparent voter counting is suggested, but national election standards, mail-in voting, online voting, full accessibility, and a greater focus on citizenship throughout society and government. I think that it would be great to see citizenship put back in the public school curriculum.
