I am bummed out that this book is not more widely known. It contains more pound for pound umph on the Cold War than almost any other single volume. A real treasure that shows how monolithic thought is dumped on a nation. This book is great for beginner Cold War -- Right Now studies, and also Great for those who have read tons on the subject.

Also incredible insights into the structural contradictions of the Cold War in the Elbow of the Cold War 1960-63.
