Book Recommendation: Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver

1. I love Kingsolver. Even her fiction exudes connection with

nature and her surroundings. And her writing is beautiful.

5. Why? Don't be .. there were a few areas I skipped

just b/c I didn't want to read the lurid awful details of factory farmed animals, but you can spot those areas coming a mile away (mostly written by her husband and collaborator, Stephen Hopp).

It's a wonderful book.

I'm the one who originally recommended Vegetable, Animal, Miracle. I'm afraid to watch the documentary, not read the book. The books is amazing!

As an aside, I am insanely curious as to what "Name Removed" had to say about this book recommendation that could have gotten the response zapped.

9. It is a really wonderful book

I have read several of her books and never been disappointed

10. The Poinsonwood Bible is easily the best contemporary novel I've ever read.

Light years from The Bean Trees. I'll have to remember to read this one -- she read some on BookTv some time ago.
