Looking for textbooks from the 1960s, grammer school literature NC
I remember some stories in an English/literature text book when I was in the 4th to 6th grade in the mid 1960s. The illustrations were great and so where the stories. One was about a girl who lived on a popcorn farm in Nebraska and one night a fire popped all the corn and it was piled all around the farm. Then there was a story about the sky with strange clouds that dripped green goo on everyone and the king rewarded a young simpleton like teen an award for solving the problem.

Where I can find those old books. I've tried searching the web but come up empty.

Thanks.

1. Try thrift and used book stores.
Some smaller thrift stores will hold requested items for you.

3. I think the second book that you are looking for
is Bartholomew and the Oobleck, by Dr. Seuss.

You're welcome.

4. Caldecott Books
Even if you don't find the one you're looking for, you'll still find some really great ones.

i usually get books from here, its good cos it includes ebay in its search but also other probably more reputable sites, reckon you'd need to track down the titles of the books first to make a more efficient search... sorry i cant be of any help with that though, wasnt educated in the states...
