Any fans out there of the Homicide: Life on The Street series?

I love those shows and want to get the last two seasons. I watch mine over and over. Best show ever on TV.

2. SO & I toured Baltimore and sought out The Waterfront Bar

In order to have a drink where Munch, Frank Pembleton, and Meldrick hung out.

Damned that was good television. S.O. & I used to get into these raging debates after the show - about life, religion, justice, etc. -- which is our definition of great art - it makes you view the world differently. Great cast, black actors weren't tokens but were the heart of the show, amazing writing, good music, a lot of amazingly done endings. Best drama ever.

4. The "Police Station" they used is still there (in Fell's Point).

Andre Brauer and his family attended the First Unitarian Church regularly while the series was filming.

I have the DVDs! I never missed an episode and I watched them all again when Court TV reran them. I LOVE "FrankenTim."

Andre Braugher was so good in Homicide, Life on the Street and in Duets he is great.

That is a fun, fun movie!

10. Loved this show...

I remember my favorite (silly) line of the show from Munch (Richard Belzer). It's christmastime on the show, Munch picks up a ringing phone in the police station and says "ho-ho-ho-homicide"

that was priceless................... and SO Belz....

Great stories, AMAZING acting from Andre Braugher, Kyle Secor, and everyone else. Even the Baldwin brother.

Came for Belzer, stayed for Kyle Secor -- I loved that character. Belzer was pretty much playing himself -- I remember when Lifetime first started up as a second-tier cable channel, he had a talk show on there, and I can say that Munch absolutely was/is Belzer all over.

I was fascinated by what the writers did with Bayliss, though. Every time you thought you had that figured out, they went somewhere else. I think my favorite was the episode about the website -- I can't remember the particulars, now, but there was something about Bayliss having posted what was supposed to be an anonymous personal ad on a gay or bisexual website. They were investigating a murder that had been committed live on somebody's webcam, and somehow it got tied up with the site on which he'd posted the personal ad, or something like that.

Especially loved the interaction between Bayliss and Pembleton when they were on a case together.

But I really couldn't fault the writers on much -- they soldiered on under the threat of cancellation and never kowtowed to what might have been the 'easy way out' by doing non-controversial, overly violent shows just to bump up the Nielsens. They stuck with writing like they loved the characters instead of ruining the show to get ratings.

14. I really liked Kyle Secor too. The scene (in the first season)

when Tim is primary on his first case and he and Frank are at the home of the victim to tell the mother of her daughter's homicide. Remember when one of the little sisters drops her bowl of cereal and later Bayliss is trying to pick up the cereal and put it back in the bowl and he looks up at Frank. That look on his face is so heart breaking. What acting in that show. Frank was my all time favorite though.

15. The fifth season is out on DVD and the

sixth season is due out next year. Have to scrape together my pennies.
