What are some good left leaning TV shows?
I've been watching Gilmore Girls and the L Word recently. Both have showed great left wing ideologies. It's been a great pleasure to watch them. I'm wondering if there are any other TV shows out there that you watch that show great liberal characters and ideals.

27. Did you see the 30 Rock with Carrie Fisher?
Hmmmm. The underlying theme wasn't too "liberal"...

7. Not a TV show, but The Time Traveler's Wife had a great line.
Henry is telling his father that Claire's dad is a hunter and a Republican. His response, "Oh, dear."

13. This is debatable, but.....
.....The Sopranos. It does make fun of everyone, but I can't help but interpret the overarching message to be one that leftists will identify with more. It deals with a lot of issues in a more direct and intellectually honest way that any other show I can think of.

19. Watch reruns of "West Wing" every morning on Bravo.
8-10 a.m. weekdays (except Fridays, I think?)

Watching it now (having seen every episode several times), I'm reminded how well written that show was, compared with most of the crap that's on tv now.

21. Maybe an odd choice, but the British series MI-5
While the characters are spies, their adversaries are often not whom you'd expect, especially in the later seasons (4 and onwards).

A&E ran it for a while, and soon freepers were complaining that it was "anti-American." I suppose they'd never seen a series in which there are false flag operations, business in alliance with the military to commit crimes, abductions of British people on British soil by the CIA, a main character who is Muslim, etc.

28. On the first ep of "Grey's Anatomy, " Meredith Grey, in an ad she wrote
looking for roommates said "Supporters of George Bush need not apply." (Or something close.) I haven't noticed much political left-leaning since then, but I was hooked. And still am. It's a great show, imho.
