Live Action Movie Review: The Invention of Lying
Country of origin: U.S.

Genre: Comedy

Story: In an alternative universe where the concept of lying does not exist, a man discovers how to lie.

Acting: Strange and excellent. The characters in this movie always say what is on their mind, they seem to have no control over themselves in this regard.

Humor: Extremely funny. The audience laughed and laughed.

Violence: Absolutely no violence whatsoever. I know no violence sounds horrible, but the movie is really good despite this drawback.

Sex: Sex is mentioned, but there is no nudity or sex scenes.

Overall: Some people are deeply offended by The Invention of Lying because they poke fun of the Old Testament. I read about four or five reviews which state this movie is anti-Christian, but Christianity is never mentioned and none of the jokes seem to concern the New Testament, I suppose I could have missed an anti-Christian joke while laughing at a previous joke. The Invention of Lying does have atheist themes, I guess some are deeply offended by the existence of atheists. I highly suggest this movie to people who enjoy laughing.

The hero uses his new power for both good and not exactly good.

2. The clips don't work as well when seperated from the movie, you would probably enjoy the movie more
if you did not watch them, but here is one which does not give very much away.

3. Great movie!
I am an atheist, though, so I may be biased. But Ricky Gervais is hilarious!!

4. Saw it last night. It was pleasant. Didn't think it'd be so chick-flickish though.
It got really schmaltzy toward the end.
