Lifetime pulls balloon boy's 'Wife Swap' episode from schedule
Source: CNN

(CNN) -- It's just one thing after another for Richard and Mayumi Heene. They've caused such an uproar after last week's alleged balloon boy hoax that Lifetime won't air a re-run of their "Wife Swap" episode.

Those who pay close attention to TV Guide would have noticed that the Heene family's first episode for the ABC reality show was scheduled to air on Lifetime on Thursday, October 29, at 2 p.m. ET.

I just have one thing to say about that...

6. That was my first thought. This must be the network that encouraged the stunt.
And now their lawyers are advising them to pull the episode.
Of course, it may be another channel that is responsible for the hoax, not Lifetime.

I think the Heene family were pawns, exploited and used by whichever media outlet put them up to it. Are the Heenes attention whores? Obviously, but I think they also did it for the money the media outlet paid them "for the show".
