SUSAN BOYLE's debut album I Dreamed A Dream continues to sell like oat cakes all over the world.
It's difficult to explain the scale of how well the Scottish lassie with the big hits and hairy chassis is doing.

Last week SuBo clocked up 1,195,820 sales in just a week - 411,820 copies in the UK and 784,000 in the USA.

Nothing is going to budge her broad bottom off that top spot for a while yet.

15. Comments boards of English articles using this term are full of complaints

for using the term with many of them coming from the US and Canada. It's just so weird how articles about her constantly make reference to her marital status. This is fairly common with articles about women, unfortunately.

Here's hoping the whole Boyle hulabaloo adds 'gobsmacked' to our lingo and removes 'spinster'. I'd always thought 'gobsmacked' a term I'd used instead of 'flumoxed' was an older phrase, but now I'm reading it's fairly new. Live and learn.
