Rocker hurt in bus crash
Weezer was heading to Boston for show tonight; injuries not believed serious

ALBANY -- Rivers Cuomo, singer for the rock band Weezer, was hospitalized Sunday after his tour bus slid off the Thruway near Amsterdam.
The band's bus was eastbound on the Thruway just after 7 a.m. Sunday after about 2 inches of snow had fallen. Cuomo, his family and a band assistant were on board the bus at the time of the accident.
State Police said Cuomo complained of rib pain at the crash scene, and the band's assistant, Sarah Kim, told police she had back pain. Both were taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, but Cuomo was then transferred to another hospital. St. Mary's would not say what hospital.
