Live Action Movie Review - Inglorious Bastards (2009)
Country of origin: USA

Year: 2009

Genre: Nazi comedy

Story: Inglorious Bastards has two story lines which eventually become related to each other. The first story line concerns a Jewish girl in Nazi occupied France. She successfully disguises herself as a French girl, runs a movie theater, and catches the eye of a smitten Nazi soldier. The second story line concerns a small team of US soldiers who hunt, kill, and disfigure Nazis behind enemy lines.

Acting: A combination of fun and good.

Humor: Pretty funny.

Violence: Violent, but without the horror and heartbreak usually present in Nazi movies, such as Schindler's List and The Pianist.

Sex: Very brief sex scene.

Overall: Inglorious Bastards is really fun. Great story, bloody violence, goofy characters, above average acting for an action movie, a little tragedy, and lots of laughs.

1. Just saw this a few days ago, on blue ray!
It is everything you've said!

There were places where I laughed my head off, and places where the tension had me on my feet, pacing.

Just loved it!

2. I would like to see a Blu-Ray or HD version.
I saw a standard format version on a Pay-Pay-View/On Demand thingy.

I was not really interested in the movie until Forkboy suggested it, I am really glad I saw it. Super fun.

3. Me too..much fun.
"Spaghetti WWII movie" is what Tarantino said he wanted to make.
Did a pretty good job.
Excellent production values, and the guy playing the villain is terrific, great fun to watch.
