Has anyone contacted NBC about the Tonight Show hosting flap?
People have been rallying on social networking sites on Twitter and Facebook to keep Conan O'Brien as host of The Tonight Show. But I'm curious to know if anyone's emailed, called, or written to NBC (which I shall keep calling Numbskulls Baiting Conan until this gets settled in O'Brien's favor).

If you don't know how to but want to, here's the information

Email: http://www.nbc.com/contact/general/

Select "Tonight Show Conan" from the drop-down menu

Write to the head honcho of Numbskulls Baiting Conan

Jeffrey Zucker

Call 'em and holler

818-840-4444 (Burbank, since this is where The Tonight Show is taped I think NBC West is more likely to care)

If there's anyone who's really insensitive, they include Pat Robertson, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and Bill O'Reilly.

Why the hell were you being so cynical when all I was doing was asking?

Instead of knowingly coming into a thread about late night hosts and being a total asshole, maybe you could just not click on the thread in the first place.

Think about all the time you could spend keyboard crusading about Haiti elsewhere.

20. The people on this thread are being real fucking jerks. Can't walk and chew gum at the same time?
Jesus christ this is what's wrong with American attention spans when bloggers can only focus on one issue at a time,

And of course that issue is defined by what the media tells them they should be focusing on this week.

Some times, its warranted (Haiti is obviously more important than Conan).

But that doesn't mean you can't walk and chew gum at the same time, people!

People on this thread are insensitive idiots.

And no, I don't expect any of them to punish Jay for what he did -- they'll continue watching him like trained monkeys because he'll be the show they instinctively turn to on the boob tube because they find him less "offensive" than Conan. He reflects American values. in a few years they'll call Jay Leno the heart and soul of the Tonight Show and congratulate their "service provider" for terminating that awwful Conan O'Brien.

That being said, there's no point calling anyone.

Conan already sold out, he obviously doesn't care about the future of the Tonight Show or he would have held out, refused money offers and kept the Tonight Show.

26. If you actually give enough of a shit to make a phone call
and post threads urging others to do the same, then that's all fine and dandy and that's your business and your decision. But personally, I give less than a tenth of a pellet of rat shit and, in terms of importance, it matters even less. Both are gazillionaire crybabies with huge entitlement mentalities who think that they and what they do actually matter. NOT. There are about five hundred million issues of importance ahead of this one.

And O'Brien is hardly being "wronged." I don't see walking away with over thirty million green ones as being "wronged." Get fucking real.

28. Conan's out. This weekend his reps & NBC have been negotiating the terms of his exit:
An announcement of a deal in the protracted negotiations between NBC and Conan O’Brien could come as early as later tonight, representatives of both sides said Sunday.

The basic elements of the deal are complete, both sides said, and all that remains are several legal issues, which are being discussed by lawyers for each side, and how some staff members of Mr. O’Brien’s “Tonight” show who do not have separate contracts will receive severance.

The issues could push the announcement off one more day, one representative said, though it is doubtful anything could derail the settlement at this point. Both sides are now eager to conclude the deal, each representative said,

The financial terms include a payment of about $40 million by NBC, though Mr. O’Brien will not personally receive all of that. A portion will also go to staff members who have contracts of their own, one representative said.

Fucking shit, I swear some people cannot take themselves out of sanctimonious mode on here anymore. The internet is a big an wondrous place. Our every breath and every thought doesn't have to be dedicated to Haiti, Afghanistan's children, or some other outrage. Some people have the capability to hold two separate thoughts or discuss two separate subjects at the same time.

If Conan is moved, it won't make much difference. Letterman and for sure Ferguson it is.
