Heart of Gold
Neil Young

I want to live, I want to give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold
It's these expressions I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old

I've been to Hollywood, I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old

Keep me searching for a heart of gold
You keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
I've been a miner for a heart of gold

4. I have the original vinyls
Neil Young
Crazy Horse- Everyone knows this is nowhere
After the Goldrush
Harvest

All great albums.
If you have never bought audiophile vinyl albums you don't know what you are missing. You do need at least a $700 turntable and a $250 cartridge. There are great deals on ebay if you know what you are looking for.

5. It wouldn't make a bit of difference to me because my old ears couldn't tell the difference.
Besides, there is no way I could ever justify the expense. I've got lots of albums and 45s tucked away that I will never play again and one day somebody will undoubtedly trash them after I die.

6. Pick up a thorens on ebay
$150. It probably would come with a decent cartridge. I bought an AR for less than $100 and that is a good turntable.

My systemdek was $400 in '87 and my Sumiko cartridge wad $200.

8. No, I've got to say that I was happy to see my turntable go many years ago.
I have some cds, but to tell the truth I just don't listen to music anymore unless I am in the car. I used to be a DJ some 35 years ago and played lots of music (a progressive rock and an oldies station in the middle 70s) but I really don't care anymore. If something comes on I will listen and enjoy it but I don't want to bother anymore than that.

11. With ebay you can build a really good system for relatively little money.

One needs to know what to look for. Perhaps a friend can offer guidance.

9. I wish he'd finally give in and allow "Time Fades Away" to be re-released.

I understand that he doesn't like that album, but it contains some
music that has always been very meaningful to me.

One of these Days I ought to drag out the old Revox and see
if my 1/4" tape recording of the album is still listenable/rippable
to an AAC.

15. neil young
have loved neil young since the early 70's. recently found out he has played with almost everybody. started the buckingham's- kewl. his biographies that i've read lately are really interesting. he's a little weird and doesn't give a rats behind what anyone thinks. he's just called his band and said he wont be back. 'cinnamon girl' and 'down by the river' are my fav's.
