Sarah Palin 'to star in reality TV show'
Source: Daily Telegraph (UK)

According to some reports, the programme would follow the former Republican vice-presidential candidate, her husband and their five children.

But other reports refer to the proposed programme as a "docudrama" that would showcase Mrs Palin's home state of Alaska.

One television executive described the show as "'Planet Earth' meets Alaska meets her family."

She is said to have teamed up with Mark Burnett, the British producer behind shows including "The Apprentice" and "Survivor".

2. Aww dammit. She'll lose her "credibility" by doing this.
Rats. And here I hoped she'd be the one.

4. The opening logo footage should feature Ex-Governor Palin blasting
wolves out of the woods from a helicopter with some kind of unlistenable music playing in the background.

Each week, say, mid-way thru the program, Sarah could gut a different animal and field-dress it live. The critters would be selected for their regional correspondence to the early primary states in 2012.

7. I was kinda hoping it would be on Celebrity Apprentice.
Trump would've had a field day with her.

Speaking of which, I bet Blago wins. He may be crazy, but he does have street smarts.

8. This is a great idea
You know that if this reality show happens, its not going to be uneventful. Some weird stuff is bound to come out as this show goes on and it will be funny to see the end result.

11. Arrest all doubts that she was only in it for the money. I had her number..
during the campaign. I knew she would use her fame to cash in because she's too dumb to do anything else.

18. Meh, until she gets a distributor, this is nothing but fluff and bullshit, just like failin quitter.
Thousands of pilot shows (and ideas for shows) are floated, each season, usually only about 1% of 1% ever get picked up and of that; less than 1% of that 1% of 1% actually succeed.

The reality show horse has been beaten into the ground. So as a result, I see a few things happening.

1)the show gets picked up, gets big ratings the first couple of weeks. then slowly dies off.

2) the show gets picked up, begins doing well, some "behind the scenes" clips are "leaked" to youtube showing failin quitter as the "average person", the show floats along for a while be then slowly dies.

3) the show gets picked up, floats along, some less then flattering clips are leaked to Youtube, failin shrilled against her critics, demands the crew is fired, the show flounders and dies a quick death.

4) the show gets picked up, execs realize it has no substance, false and real controversies are conjured up to inflate the ratings, it last for a little while then dies abruptly, when it's put on hiatus for "retooling". It returns in a bizarre time slot featuring "guest shots" of failin quitter, but centers mostly around her dysfunctional husband and kids.

5) a few episodes are shot, but the the show doesn't get last very long. failin quitter tries in vein to be graceful, but true to her roots, will begin the blame game. It's everyone else's fault. Like after the lost election, she blamed her fuck ups on the republican party, she will blame the writers, crew members, hair stylist, dog trainers, stage managers and PA's for all the problems and that they refused to listen to her innate producing wisdom.

finally...

6) the show won't go into production, no one will want it, failing quitter will once again be a pony without a rider. She will then go on to condemn all those godless people in hollywood that hate anyone that tells the truth or want to feature the story of average americans.

Oh one last one that just occurred to me...

7) the show is picked up by some religious network, that will advertise it in the most obnoxious way, with really bad commercials, cheap art direction, awful writing and ego puffing can do no wrong writing for failin quitter. Where it will have a very successful run because it's aimed squarely at tea bagging failin quitter hair and eyeglass style imitating fan boy/girl geeks.

19. Is this gonna be on NBC to fill up the Jay Leno Show's former timeslot?
Just askin'.

I wonder if reality TV is any good PR for an upcoming presidential campaign. Oh wait, two Republican governors of my home state California were TV/film stars before getting elected. They'd be: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan (Reagan would later become the 40th president of the US).

Depending on how the 2012 Republican presidential primaries go, if Palin decides to go on with this show we Democrats might get an advantage in November 2012. Yee-haw?

Now that I've heard of a new crummy show on TV with a bunch of overexposed silly geese, I'll go rent some DVDs of The Hills.
