all this talk of jeff bridges
he's great and all , but let's not forget the jesus...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If9I1P6-hgw

granted, he's more of a character actor, but damn is he good at it.

has HE ever done a bad role? if so, they are few and far between.

it's also such a great use of music in a movie (i hate the term "film". it always sounds pretentious to me).

i think scorcese was one of the pioneers, but god knows (and jesus does too) the coen brothers are masters at it

2. true dat
also, as a character actor you'd expect him to be in more bad movies, since he's in so many movies in bit parts

11. The Big Lebowski just gets better and better.
that movie is simply pure genius. Not only Bridges and Turturro, but John Goodman, Steve Buscemi-- Philip S. Hoffman, Julianne Moore- even Flea and the other Nihilists "Ve cut off your johnson- zen ve shtomp on it" ; there is just comedy gold all the way through that movie.

...I love him, but he was in Transformers or some shitty CGI flick like that and I'm wondering if he was bad in that.

But I still like him, although Crazy Heart looked like a snooze fest to me, and I didn't see it (nor do I intend to). But seriously, how stoned was he on Oscar night?

16. He was in Transformers 2
I'm think the guy is great, and since he's a character actor rather than a leading man I'm happy to overlook some of the clunkers he's been in. Transformers 2 was pushing it. But that's far outweighed by his work with the Coen Brothers, with Spike Lee, and as Adrian's brother on Monk. :D
