"The drama "24" won't be ticking much longer on TV.

Fox announced Friday that its action-packed real-time show starring Kiefer Sutherland as anti-terrorism agent Jack Bauer will wind down at the end of its current eighth season on May 24.

Sutherland said in a statement that the show's cast and crew "always wanted '24' to finish on a high note, so the decision to make the eighth season our last was one we all agreed upon." He also said he was looking forward to creating a film version of "24."

The show won the Emmy for outstanding drama series and Sutherland garnered the outstanding lead drama actor trophy for his role as Bauer in 2006."

6. watched one season, found it to be totally laughable..

it was so unbelievably over the top as to make it almost stupidly funny. not funny enough to watch much more than i did. wish i could say the same for lost. bleh.

7. I found it laughable that all that happens in one day, per year, and nothing the other 364 days.

So, all in all, the entire 8 seasons were about 8 total days in Jack Bauer's life.
